Upper Darby Anti-Violence Comm. Meeting

I've been working late every day and trying to do 2-3 hours OT an evening. Tonight I did 3. Tomorrow will be just a regular day though as there is something important that I want to attend.

Township residents received a call from Superintendent Michael Chitwood about an Anti-Violence Community Meeting which will be held at the Watkins Senior Center. I had checked my messages from home while I was at work and barely caught it and thought I deleted it.

Because it's an issue that's important to me, I called the police station tonight to find out the exact date and time. It's tomorrow at 6:30 pm (EST) and I'm really hoping that those in the community who are just as concerned as I am show up.

I know Chitwood is looking for any input from the residents and wants to give tips to help us all stay safe. There's also mention of a Town Watch, and even though I'm working a lot of hours, I want to be involved to help keep my neighborhood as free from crime as possible. Right now it's a lose-lose situation with being so close to West Philadelphia and all the Section 8 Housing that has taken over Upper Darby. It's one of the biggest mistakes to ever happen here.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to contributing and hopefully getting some answers as well. This will be my first one I've ever attended, so if anyone has any advice and any questions that I should ask, please don't hesitate to throw them out there.
